Nirvana Nights

What fascinates me most about fashion is how different decades are marked by such distinct characteristics. In the 1920’s, waistlines dropped and hemlines rose as women entered the workforce and became more independent. In the fifties, skirts flared and men pushed up their leather jacket sleeves. By the seventies, everyone was grooving to Led Zeppelin in their bell-bottoms and earth tone tunics. But the nineties are like the grungy stepchild of the decades who wore midriff tops and flannel shirts around the waist.

The outfit I am wearing brings me back to the decade I grew up in. It may not be known for its fashion, but let’s remember that Britney Spears, roller blades, Friends, Kate Moss, and Nirvana all came out of the nineties. :)

P.D. Mexicanos queridos: Que tal la bolsa “Made in Chinga”? :p
